| ACADEMIC CONTENT | |
| Overall objective |
The purpose of the specific project-oriented internship is that the students become familiar with the labour market and test their skills in relation to the requirements for tasks and positions they will likely experience when they get a job after their studies. The student will be able to identify, understand and reflect on leadership and management in the organisation/enterprise, and will be able to apply the scientific methods related to the Master's programme in practice. |
| Detailed description of content |
Students find internship places on their own or with help from the study and career guidance and must sign an internship agreement. You can read about the approval process on the link above (see registration). Students can contact the Study and career guidance for information about internships and to see currents ads for internship places. The internship is supported by a series of seminars:
|
| Course material and Reading list |
The syllabus for the internship portfolio consists of readinglists for the seminars. Students themselves may select supplementing relevant literature for their portfolio if needed. |
| Overall plan and expected work effort |
Study intensity The internship corresponds to 30 ECTS that equals to 825 working hours per student. 1 ECTS corresponds to about 27,5 hours of work. The 30 ECTS internship corresponds to about 825 hours of work, which is about 22 weeks of full time work with 37 hours of work a week. It is recommended that students spend one day a week on reading for and writing the internship portfolio. The working hours include participation and preparation for the seminars. The seminars amount to 20 hours. Besides, the exam is included in the sum of working hours. As a student, you should expect to start your internship between 1 August and 1 September. The internship will have the best conditions timewise with a start in the internship company in August. Teaching and learning activities The internship is supported by a series of seminars, in which students work to qualify their portfolio through feedback from peers and facilitators. The seminars are centered around the students’ problem formulation and under concern for the students’ freedom to choose theories and method within the frame of the module’s description. The seminars will be organised around the themes:

| Evaluation and feedback |
There is continuous alignment of expectations and feedback throughout the seminars via joint discussions. At the final seminar, students will conduct an oral evaluation that is summarized in writing and sent to the semester coordinator (to inform the head of study and the study board). In this semester, the project-oriented internship is also evaluated on a survey basis as part of the study board's evaluation practice. The evaluation practice includes a survey-based evaluation of all teaching activities at least every three years as a supplement to the other forms of evaluation. Read more about the evaluation practice on the study board's page on the intranet. It is important that you contribute to the evaluations. The teacher, head of studies and the study board use all evaluations to examine and follow up on quality of the programme and provide a basis for development. |

| Examination and assessment criteria (implemented) |
The assessment is an overall assessment of the written product(s) and the subsequent oral examination. The exam is conducted in a way, which allows for individual assessment of each student. The assessment of the portfolio will be based on the extent to which it can:
The portfolio must contain:
Exam The exam will start with a 4-5 minutes presentation by the student. You can use power point and/or printouts to support your presentation. The presentation will be followed by questions and discussion with the examiners In the project-oriented internship, generative AI tools (GAI) are allowed in the work on the exam if their use is declared. You must clearly indicate how you have used generative artificial intelligence (GAI). This should be included as part of a methodology section. This means that you must describe how you have used GAI, for example, for preparatory work on the assignment, to ask questions, search and process information, receive feedback and critique on your text, perform proofreading, or improve language and readability. It is important that you actively consider your choice of tools in this way, as it is part of the entire creation process of the assignment and thus part of your scientific method and academic communication. The use of any specific text that is GAI-generated requires citation, just like the use of any other sources from which direct quotes are taken. In the library's guide, you can see more about how to cite AI and how you can declare your use of GAI. Regular spell check and other language suggestions, as known from Word or other word processing programs, as well as programs for notetaking and transcription, are allowed in all written exams and do not need to be declared. The use of generative artificial intelligence (GAI) must always take place within the framework of 'Roskilde University's guidelines for the use of generative artificial intelligence in written exam'. |
