Prerequisites

Enrolled in PhD studies in the field of Big data, Informatics, Artificial Intelligence, Human-Computer Interaction, and related topics. Computer science and mathematics can be accepted by evaluation of PhD research by the course responsibles. Priority is given to PhD students at RUC.

The course is held bi-weekly over 16-20 weeks.

Participation requirements to obtain ects

Half an hour to an hour presentation of research at one of the 8-10 sessions or a short report of a selected research presentation and it is required to attend at least 60% of the sessions.

Course content

A student who has taken the course will be able to: -Present own scientific results and research related to data and data applications

-Review state of the art research in the area of data

-Critically evaluate presented research

-Exchange research ideas

-Engage in scientific discussion on the topic
