You register for activities through stads selvbetjening during the announced registration period, which you can see on the Study administration homepage.

When registering for courses, please be aware of the potential conflicts and overlaps between course and exam time and dates. The planning of course activities at Roskilde University is based on the recommended study programmes, which should not overlap. However, if you choose optional courses and/or study plans that goes beyond the recommended study programmes, an overlap of lectures or exam dates may occur depending on which courses you choose.

Detailed description of content

The project work is performed in groups of 2-7 students. During the project work, students receive guidance from supervisors to an extent determined by the Study Board. Students from Business Studies and Business Administration and Leadership may write this project together.

Project Process

The project supervision is complemented by a project process which includes the following elements:

  • Group formation process

  • 2 cluster seminars: a) problem field seminar b) internal evaluation based on an extended abstract

  • Project supervision to an extent that depends on group size

The courses in The Firm's Resources and Value Creation and/or Strategic Management, Corporate Responsibility, and Legitimacy are project-supporting.

Regarding cluster seminars:

For the problem field seminar, it is expected:

Your group prepares approx. 1 ½ page that describes the problem field you are investigating and indicate a clear problem statement. You are also expected to have searched for scientific literature on the problem formulation, and prepared a preliminary list of references. Your preliminary ideas on how to investigate the problem statement should also be described. The cluster supervisor sets up a peer feedback plan to help sharpen your problem formulation and thus the project. You are also expected to provide peer feedback to other project groups

Regarding internal evaluation: To be held just before the intensive final phase of project writing.

Here it is expected that you have done most of the work, - you now only have to write the final report. Therefore, you can write an extended abstract with:

• Problem area

• Problem definition

• Method - your empirical work

• Theory

• Analysis/discussion

• Expected conclusion

Page restriction: approx. 5-6 pages

Again, you give and receive peer feedback, which sharpens your work in the last intensive project phase.

Expected work effort (ECTS-declaration)

50% of the workload in a semester = 15 ects. This is 410 hours including exam per group member

Course material and Reading list

Project literature is selected by the project group.

Evaluation- and feedback forms

It is expected that:

  • it is the group who contacts the supervisor

  • the group from the beginning aligns expectations with each other and with the supervisor.

  • the group continuously evaluates among themselves

  • Mid-term, as well as final evaluation, are conducted orally with the supervisor

  • also, a survey-based semester evaluation is carried out
